Hunting Report 9/17/16

JD’s Hunting Report from Saturday, September 17, 2016

Doves are starting to make their way back to the ranch.  The numbers are still low but if the northern’s will still keep blowing in we may see enough to start calling people on the waitlist.  Quail guides are here this weekend working on our quail habitat.  They are busy shredding grids and getting ready for a new season of quail hunting!  Repairs have been ongoing since the first of the month on duck levees and projects.  We have a good amount of water from earlier rains and hope to finish up repairs by the end of the month so that projects will hold water to their capacity this season.  Last weekend we had limits on opening weekend of Teal and one banded bird!  Still have openings for Sunday and next weekend!

Michael’s Minute: Our booking office was closed yesterday and will be closed today (Sat 17th) due to construction but will reopen on Tuesday.  Our normal hours are Tuesday - Friday weekly.  We have new specials coming this weekend!  I hope to get everything online by Sunday morning.  We have Bow Hunt Specials and Family Doe Hunt Specials coming your way along with an unbelievable low price on stand hog hunts for this fall.  Friend Us on Facebook page today for a sneak peak on those specials!

Dove Hunt Waitlist:  We are beginning a Dove hunt waitlist for those wanting to come Dove Hunt but are waiting for our call to let them know birds are here.  If you would like to get on that list please call Michael at 936-825-2119 ext. 1

Teal Hunts are still available and I still have openings for opening weekend and the first week.

Booking Thermal/Night Vision Hog Hunts for this fall and spring.  Dates are filling up fast.  Its best to find several dates that work before calling to make reservation so we can get you the most options for your hunt.  NV/Thermal Hunts are set up for three shooters.  If you book a fourth person, they will have to rotate into the shooting as the night goes on.  For more info call our office Tuesday - Friday 936-825-2119 ext.1
