Moody Ranch Outfitters
Moody Ranch Aerial

My son and I have hunted at many different ranches around Texas, Misissppi and Alaska and Moody Ranch stand head and sholders with other world class hunting ranches and outfitters. The lodge guest and other hunters display courteous and polite behavior towards other hunters who are coming to the ranch to have an outstanding hunting experience. The guides are excellent and do their very best to ensure the folks visiting have a safe and memorable experience. The ranch is low fenced so the ranch is a fair chase hunting operation, The ranch staff and owners do a fantastic job!

I have had the opportunity to bird hunt all over the world. I truly enjoy duck hunting at Moody Ranch Outfitters. First, you are greeted with a great campfire that can be enjoyed regardless of weather conditions. The spacious covered patio area lends itself to meeting other groups of hunters in a casual Texas style environment. A good campfire with an adult beverage or a glass of fine wine makes for a relaxing visit with fellow hunters.

What is most notable about the lodge is it's cleanliness. Everything is spotless upon arrival. The game room is nicely equipped with big screen tv, pool table, and fine wood card tables. The bed and bath rooms are very comfortable and clean which my clients appreciate.

The food has been fresh and very good. We do enjoy the hearty breakfast after our morning duck hunts. Overall, the lodge is as fine as any place I have hunted, including the Argentina estancias.
The duck hunting at Moody Ranch Outfitters offers large comfortable blinds that are very easy and quick to get to. Your guides are top notch callers and really fun to hunt with. A varity of ducks including pintails, gadwall, widgeon, mallards, teal, wood ducks and other species are a bonus. The most impressive thing about duck hunting at Moody Ranch Outfitters is the dog work. Every Lab is at least a Master Hunter. No screaming, chasing or wondering if the dog is going to bring a duck back. To me, watching a finely tuned dog do it's job is the best part of a hunt.

Lastly, the ranch itself is worth a trip. The rolling hills, river and creek bottoms are a sportsman's paradise. I would recommend a trip to Moody Ranch to the most discriminating hunter.
