-
All guests must have completed their waiver online using the links below before arriving. They must also have proof of hunter safety and a Texas Hunting License in the field. Please leave your coolers outside under the Pavilion next to the sink. Do not place coolers inside buildings. Due to wood furniture, we do not allow drinks inside the Bunkhouse common areas, bedrooms, or main hall bedrooms except for bottled water. Drinks are allowed in the Main Hall, Pavilion area, and Mess Hall, and we respectfully ask you to use coasters to keep our lodge nice for everyone.
-
Main Hall closes at 11:30 p.m., and all lights turn off at 12:15 a.m. Please make your way to bed at this time.
-
We do not allow smoking or vaping inside buildings and we ask that you kindly do not throw cigarette butts in the fire pit, on porches, or lodge grounds. We do have buckets under pavilion for your butts.
-
You may bring fishing or bow fishing equipment with you on your hunt. Currently, the fish are hitting on small weighted Texas rigs or weightless worms, with a slow weedless presentation being best. Color seems to vary. Black and blue/ blue flake should be the color for this time of year. Motor oil and tomato red flake has about the same effect. They are changing patterns frequently because they are biting out of protecting beds and competitiveness. Black lizards with blue or chartreuse tails have always been good on sunny days as well. The guide recently caught just a couple on top with a frog, so if you are a die-hard top water fisherman, it’s an option, but not very productive. Chatter baits, which are yellow or white, have also become successful. Mid-Range Divers are also good in certain lakes, and frogs are always good for topwater action fishing.

PLEASE FILL OUT YOUR WAIVERS BEFORE ARRIVING VIA THE LINK(S) ABOVE. If you have a guest who is 17 years old or younger, please click the Youth Waiver Link as well, which must be filled out by a parent or guardian. All participants must be 12 or older to hunt, except Thermal Hog and Gator hunts, where the minimum age is 16. We do not allow non-hunting observers on hunts. Fishing participants must be at least 8 years old and wear a life preserver that fits them when they are on the water. We do not provide youth life preservers as there are many sizes, and it is your responsibility to bring one that fits your youth. Please remember you must have a valid Texas Hunting License with you at all times while hunting, except for hogs or fishing. When filling out your waiver online, type N/A in the hunting license box if you are hunting hogs only or bass fishing, as they do not require a license on Moody Ranch.
